Cleland Wildlife Park

We took some time out to visit a local wildlife park in the Adelaide Hills. It was a lovely outing, and we managed to feed the kangaroos, touch a koala, and enjoy the sunshine.

We also took a few photos for you to enjoy...

Around Adelaide

It's been quite warm here recently - it peaked at 36.5 degrees last Friday, and has remained in the 30's until last night when it rained. We took a drive to Victor Harbor yesterday. It's roughly 90 mins from Adelaide, and we visited Granite Island and Cooronga National Park (near Goolwa). Last night, we drove to Glenelg Beach (the closest one to where we live) to snap the sunset. Here are a few pics of our escapades. On the job front, things are quiet, but we are hoping that something will come through shortly...

Max & Shadow update

We thought that you would like an update on Max and Shadow...

We went to visit them soon after they landed, and both are well. They have both lost a bit of weight as a result of the flight and the climate change, but should be back to normal in no time.

We will be travelling to Melbourne to collect them early in December, and we can't wait! Here are some pics that we took of them during our recent visit.
They stay in their own kennel during their time at the quarantine station, but during visits, we can take them into a type of yard where they can run about.

Photos from the 'Great Ocean Road'

Here are a few pictures taken on our drive along the 'Great Ocean Road' between Melbourne and Adelaide. The route is lovely, and reminded us of Highway 1 on the west coast of America. The weather was mild, but windy, and there are so many sights to see along the route. Definitely a holiday route...

Left to Right: First sighting of wild koala, 12 Apostles, Blowhole cave (front view), Arches

Back home again

Wow! 2 days on the road...we saw some wonderful sights on the Great Ocean Road. We will post some pics soon. The car went well, and we are glad to get home. No job offers yet, so will have to start hunting. We hope to go to a meeting at the 3rd kingdom hall here - will keep you posted...

Back to Adelaide again...

We spent the weekend in Melbourne (mostly raining) and decided that it would be a bit too much for Max and Shadow if we went there on Friday, as they arrived at 4:45am, after a long flight from the UK. We decided to see them today, and spent an hour with them. They have both lost around 1.5kgs but look good and seemed pleased to see us. We can get them after a month.

We also bought a car, so now we have our own transport which will help. We are travelling back to Adelaide tomorrow and will go via the great ocean road. First stop will be the 12 Apostles... you can see more about the great ocean road at http://www.greatoceanroad.org/

A few pics

As promised, here are a few pics from around Adelaide. The weather has been nice so far - there have been the occasional windy days, and some light rain, but it's not cold, and it is welcomed. We are off to Lofty Mountain this afternoon, then head to Melbourne tomorrow morning to visit Max and Shadow :)
